Carolina Comfort was formed in 1993 in Newberry, South Carolina by its president & CEO Rich Mitchell. Starting as a small service based company, Rich was joined by a long time friend and service technician Steven Faust. As they began to grow, it didn’t take long for the two of them to realize that more help was needed. Rich brought in another friend, Dale King, to handle installations. Today, Carolina Comfort, Inc. has close to two hundred years of experience between the officers and the staff.





Rich and his staff want everyone to feel like family. He has always believed that honesty, integrity and good quality service is the only way to do business. He is a true believer in God’s Power to Bless people. He has always told anyone who asks, ”Carolina Comfort was God’s company, I was just the one that was lucky enough to run it.” Every employee that comes to work for him hopes it will be the last job they ever have.

Having won the Heil dealer award for the past eight years and being the recipient of the ICP Explorer Challenge award, the company has come full circle. Now, with their new 15,000 sq ft office and warehouse facility, they can offer the service of a full metal & welding shop to their clients. As Carolina Comfort, Inc. moves into the future, providing 100% customer satisfaction is still our main focus.
